ABOUT THE OPERATORS
Starting as two peculiar college students, DeLon and Barry knew they struck oil when they first met. They often entertained one another with countless ideas when pulling off their heavily caffeinated all-nighters. As adults, they believe collaboration and artistry are at the forefront of making content. They hold this belief so firmly that they've decided to band together on passion projects after they clock out of their day jobs, often burning the midnight oil.
DeLon and Barry have sworn to keep innovating and partnering with many passionate creators to help their dreams ignite!
DeLon R. Warren | Co-Founder & Creative Director
DeLon is an assistant director at ShadowMachine and a creative director at Midnight Oil Animation. After storyboarding for the 93rd Academy Awards-winning short "If Anything Happens I Love You" on Netflix, he became a storyboard artist for adult animated shows. His catalog includes Woke, Robot Chicken, and Crossing Swords for Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, and HouseBroken for Bento Box Entertainment. DeLon worked as a storyboard revisionist at Titmouse, Inc. He also did storyboard and design work for the Emmy-nominated educational children’s series Waffles + Mochi, starring Michelle Obama, Eric Kripke's The Boys, Kevin Hart's Lil Kev, and Donald Glover's Atlanta.
Barry Strum | Co-Founder & Creative Producer
Barry’s an associate producer at Blizzard Entertainment and a creative producer at Midnight Oil Animation. He is passionate about contributing to the creation of impactful animated stories. His animation production experiences include Blue Sky Studios, Nickelodeon Animation, DreamWorks Animation, and Blizzard Entertainment. Barry has worked in production management on titles such as The Loud House, Spies in Disguise, Trolls World Tour, Boss Baby 2, World of Warcraft Cinematics, and Overwatch 2 Cinematics.
Robi | Studio Mascot
Robi (row·bee) Muffle passionately runs the Gas Station here at Midnight Oil. She has a genuine interest in the petroleum industry and a desire to be involved; it makes sense to her as a robot being literally fueled by it.
